Our full day training courses can be offered on Saturdays according to demand. All of the half day courses can be expanded to a full day and full day courses can be split into 2 half days.

A Complete Guide to Conflict Management

Aim:

Conflict in the workplace leads to burnout and complaints. These are common causes for time off work and a reluctance to return. Most of our unhappiness is caused by conflict. External conflict directly mirrors where we need to work within the Self. When we are emotionally triggered we behave in an unconscious way and this contaminates all of our responses which in turn influences our environment leading to complaints and burnout

Half Day Courses

All of the half day courses can be expanded to a full day. This allows a deeper dive into the theory section and the practical experience of a greater number of tools and techniques.

  • How to Manage Conflict

    • The aim of the course is to foster an understanding of both internal and external conflict.

    • Delegates will learn how internal conflict is generated and the effect it has on them and those around them. They will also learn how to deal with any external conflict that arises in terms of de-escalation, harvesting the lessons of the interaction and reducing any negative impact on their wellbeing.

  • 10 Ways to Boost your Mental Health (with practical exercises)

    • Delegates will learn about 10 evidence-based ways to boost and maintain their mental wellbeing and experience an example of each to take away.

    • These skills include, meditation, mindfulness, breathing techniques, journaling, visualisation, practising gratitude, self-check and ways to challenge distorted thinking, improve sleep and improve physical health.

 

  • Accountability Without Fear

    • When we lack confidence in the workplace we behave in a fearful way. This affects our behaviour towards others and is apparent in the outcomes of our interactions. In this workshop delegates learn to enhance their self-awareness, understand the cognitive behavioural cycle and the effective communication skills that are essential for confidence at work.

 

  • The Confident Manager

    • To manage in a confident manner we need a host of tools and techniques. In this workshop we discuss, compassion versus empathy, specific language tools and techniques to aid shared decision making and communication with staff.  Visualisation techniques to reboot between conversations. Specific tools to manage both internal and external conflict.

 

  • Return with Resilience (after a career gap)

    • After a career break, we often return with reduced confidence and fear of not being enough. Here we teach tools and techniques to boost mental wellbeing and resilience ready for a confident return to work.

  • Mastering the Cognitive Behavioural Cycle

    • Here we explore the cognitive behavioural cycle in detail, understanding how our core beliefs influence the process and discover different ways to intervene at each point in the cycle.

    • Delegates will learn how to reframe core beliefs, evaluate their thoughts, challenge cognitive illusions, generate positive body chemistry and change their behaviour.

 

  • Resilience for Reform

    • Ineffective communication, issues with self-worth and attachments to outcomes can encourage us to commit to too many workstreams. Continually taking up the slack can leave us depleted and end with leadership fatigue

    • In this workshop delegates will learn how self-awareness and essential core resilience skills can lessen the impact that campaigning for reform can have on their well being and result in successful leadership. Resilient practitioners are the only ones who can lobby for change.

    • Understanding how regularly attempting to experience another person’s pain and distress results in projecting ourselves into imagined scenarios. This creates a stress response within us and puts our wellbeing at stake.

    • Delegates will learn practical ways to foster compassion and tools to stop them from taking their work home with them.

  • How to Deal with Complaints

    • Complaints are a leading cause of distress and are often avoidable. With good self-awareness and tried and tested language skills, we teach ways to avoid our interactions leading to complaints and how to manage them if they do arise.

  • How to Manage Conflict

    • We all have our own unique model of the world based on our conditioning. Understanding that each of us sees every experience through his/her own personal lens gives us the power to account for our own responses. Here we also teach specific language tools intended for use in all situations of conflict

    • Habitually saying “yes” to all requests comes from a core belief that we must agree to everything to be valued. Here we challenge this concept and provide the specific tools for saying “no.”

  • Rescue Yourself from Overthinking

    • Overthinking is a habit which we cultivate to feel safe. To break this habit, here we provide the tools of mindfulness, a thought diary, reframing core-beliefs and thoughts and challenging distorted thinking.

  • What does Self Care really Mean?

    • The term ‘self-care’ is overused. Here we discuss what it really means to care for Self in terms of setting boundaries, self-checking, creating balance and self-care assessments.

  • Mindfulness in the Workplace

    • This workshop explores the definition of mindfulness and how this practise can be applied in the workplace. Delegates will learn language techniques to aid mindful communication and a meditative tool to achieve mindfulness.

    • Here we explore the concept of giving and receiving contaminated messages, teach neurolinguistic programming techniques and share specific language tools for use in every situation.

    • This workshop defines resilience and presents a four pillar model of psychological, emotional and physical resilience, and the resilience within our relationships.     • Shoshin, the Buddhist concept of ‘Beginners Mind’ has a great deal to offer us in terms of clinical practice. Here we explore the concept and show how it can be applied throughout to avoid repeating old patterns in recurring situations.

  • Meditation and Mindfulness for Life

    • These are core skills in maintaining our mental wellbeing. Here we differentiate between them, explain their individual benefits, and allow delegates to experience them as skills to take away.

  • The Locus of Power in Relationships

    • This workshop explores the dynamics in our relationships and shows delegates how to recognise where the locus of power lies and how to use this information to create positive sustainable connections that benefit all parties.

  • The Power of Breath

    • Breathing is something that we do automatically but there are great benefits to making the process conscious. Here we teach a variety of different breathing techniques and outline the physiological and psychological benefits of each.

  • How to Manifest Success

    • Here we introduce the concept of the Universal Law of Manifestation and give delegates the opportunity to experience how to use step-by-step, it to manifest their own success.

  • Honour your Shadow

    • Shadow work is uncomfortable work but offers profound personal growth. Here we show the reader how to discover and honour their Shadow and become impervious to the irritation caused by the behaviour of others.

  • Practical Visualisation Tools

    • Here we teach the invaluable skill of visualisation for success and self-mastery. Visualisation exercises can be used to help us sleep, to anchor positive emotions, to motivate and in visualising our goals we help manifest them. Here we teach a variety of different visualisation tools and outline the physiological and psychological benefits of each.

  • The Art of Reframing

    • Delegates will learn to understand the Cognitive Behavioural Cycle, outlined by Aaron T. Beck and how to use a thought diary to observe their own and reframing language techniques to break unwanted habits and patterns of behaviour.
